NBA Combine Testing

I truly believe I have the best job in the world. I get to work with athletes of all ages to help maximize their potential.  I work with young youth athletes, lots of high school athletes, college athletes and even some professional athletes.

At AC Flora, I work with athletes of every sport.  At Oak Hill Academy, I mainly just work with the basketball team.  Because of AC Flora Basketball’s success in South Carolina (2 state championships in the past four years) & Oak Hill Basketball’s tremendous national success, (9 high school national basketball championships)  I have become more known as a “Basketball Strength & Conditioning Coach”

Due to that recognition, I often have other strength coaches ask me how do I like working with basketball players?  Basketball players are not always thought of as the hardest workers in the weight room.

Well, I love working with basketball players in the weight room!  One of the reasons I love working with basketball players is they are some of the most competitive athletes of any sport!

If you are a coach, I suggest you incorporate as much competition into your training sessions as possible.

Recently, we tested all the Oak Hill players in the exact same tests that are used at the NBA Combine and showed the players how they compare.

In the next few blog posts, I will show you more videos of the Oak Hill NBA Combine testing and how they compared to the 2017 NBA Combine attendees!

Here’s a sneak peak!
